Another photo competition sponsored by the NJ branch of the American Society of Media Photographers is being held next month. This was the same organization that presented me with "Honorable Mention" for this photo in August of last year. The entry fee is for 3 photos, which need to be professionally framed for gallery presentation, and submitted on June 2nd. I truly want to have my work included in this exhibition, as I feel the recognition this might bring could lead to good things for me regarding my photography.

So, to pay for the framing and entry fee (as well as raise money towards wrestling my growing debt, medical/house/auto bills, and the assortment of other financial demons to the ground), I’m beginning the big sell-off of my life earlier than planned. I was hoping to offer it all at once, but the scale of such an endeavor is astronomical regarding all I wish to part with. Given that reality, I’ve decided to do this in stages, with the first batch of items for sale/auction being those which are closest to my heart – my film and movie gear.

I figured I’d throw the line out to you fine people first before going through the ever-so-easy and inexpensive routine of the eBay experience. Even if you aren’t interested in buying one of my prized possessions, that’s perfectly fine. I ask that you check out the link anyway since I did some of my best rudimentary copywriting for it. Besides, you might just have a chuckle learning the history of how certain items found their way into my home for wayward toys.

I’ll leave this post up until Monday so everyone has a chance to take a look. I’m off to sift through the thousands of shots I have archived to figure out which three are my "best."

I’m posting paintings on ebay again…

Yes, you thought that I totally left ebay, but after much thought and consideration, I decided to list some of my paintings on there again. I mean, it was really the FIRST place I started selling my art online in 1998 right? So why not give it a chance again… Yes, Ebay has gone through many changes in the last year… with their new things happening on their website that a lot of sellers were just not happy about, but all in all… it really is one of the best ways to sell something. Who doesn’t know about Ebay? If you don’t know what ebay is, well then you must be locked up in a cage, or just not have the internet.
