does anyone know how to use the camera ina asus eee just for regular without like being a webcamera

Are you talking about like a digital camera, or a camcorder. It shouldn’t make a difference, though. All you should have to do is connect the camera to your computer, and see if it picks up that it is there.
The Asus eee runs on Linux, so ther maybe an issue with some drivers, but just do a google search, and see what you can find. You might want to look at http://sourceforge.net. This is an open source mega site that has thousands of programs and drivers for almost anything.
